A 26-year-old female was killed in a commercial motorbike-truck accident on the Badagry Expressway, Lagos.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the accident on Monday in Lagos.
It occurred on Monday around 1:00 p.m. in Ojo, which is in the state’s Ojo locality.
“A fatal accident occurred at Ojo Barracks main gate along Badagry Expressway involving a truck and a motorcycle,” the PPRO said.
The motorcyclist, who had a passenger on board, was going from Mile 2 to Iyana-Iba before he lost control.
The passenger tumbled under the approaching truck and was knocked down by its back tyre and died instantly.
The PPRO affirmed that the body was retrieved from the scene.
He also asserted that the motorcycle and truck were towed and will be inspected.
Police elaborated that the motorcyclist fled the scene.
