The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has revealed that a fleet of 33 ships, loaded with essential energy products, food supplies, and various other goods, is on track to reach the primary seaports in Lagos.
Based on the latest “Daily Shipping Position” report issued this Monday, these vessels are slated to pull into the Apapa Port, Tin Can Island Port, and Lekki Deep Sea Port throughout the window of February 22 to February 27.
Officials from the NPA pointed out that 17 of these incoming travelers are carrying containerized freight. The rest of the 16-ship convoy is transporting a diverse mix of commodities, including bulk gas, diplomatic cargo, urea, empty containers, crude oil, clinker, and blended stock.
Beyond the upcoming arrivals, the authority noted that seven tankers and ships have already reached the harbor area. These vessels are currently in the queue for berthing clearance, holding vital supplies of aviation fuel, gasoline, and general merchandise.
Activity remains high across the docks, with the NPA confirming that 17 ships are already at their berths offloading cargo. Currently, workers are busy discharging everything from bulk wheat and soya bean oil to sugar, trucks, and fresh fish at the terminals in Apapa, Tin Can, and Lekki.
