The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 33 vessels carrying petroleum products, food supplies, and other commodities are scheduled to dock at Lagos ports this week.
In its Daily Shipping Position, the authority stated that the ships are expected to arrive between March 2 and March 8 at Apapa Port, Tin Can Island Port, and Lekki Deep Sea Port.
The shipping schedule indicates that 16 of the incoming vessels are container ships carrying assorted goods, while the remainder are loaded with commodities such as bulk urea, crude oil, fertilizer, salt, gypsum, sugar, and other general cargo.
The NPA further reported that 11 vessels and tankers have already arrived at the three ports and are currently awaiting berthing.
These ships are transporting aviation fuel, petrol, diesel, alkaline substances, and containerised cargo.
The authority added that 17 vessels are currently discharging cargo at Apapa, Tin Can Island, and Lekki ports.
Ongoing operations include bulk wheat, general cargo, urea, gas, trucks, and various containerised goods, highlighting sustained shipping and cargo-handling activities across the Lagos port corridor.
