Dangote Refinery Restores Petrol Price to ₦1,175

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased its petrol price to ₦1,175 per litre, a move that has led depot operators in several locations to temporarily suspend their sales.

Earlier, on March 10, 2026, the refinery had reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by ₦100, bringing it down to ₦1,075 per litre from the previous ₦1,175 per litre.

Following that reduction, depot operators began selling the product at an average price of about ₦1,100 per litre. However, the latest price adjustment from the refinery prompted them to pause their sales transactions.

The refinery has also temporarily stopped loading operations in order to reconcile its stock levels and align them with the newly introduced pricing structure.

The price review comes amid a rise in global crude oil prices, with Brent crude increasing from $91 to $100 per barrel, a development that has directly affected refining costs.
