The Nigerian Naira experienced significant week-on-week losses against the US dollar in the official foreign exchange market.
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the Naira weakened to N1,456.73 on Friday, November 21, 2025, from N1,442.43 the previous week.
This represents a weekly decline of N14.06 against the dollar at the official market.
Meanwhile, the black market, which is currently seeing reduced activity, held steady at N1,465, the same rate as last week.
This decline occurred even as Nigeria’s foreign reserves increased by 1.25 per cent to $43.64 billion over the past week.
