The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has refuted circulating reports claiming that the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration will close on Monday, April 7, 2025.
In a statement released on Saturday in Abuja by the Board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB clarified that the registration, which began on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, remains ongoing until an official closing date is announced.
Benjamin urged all prospective DE candidates to proceed with their registration at any of the Board’s approved Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) starting Monday and to continue until the Board communicates a definitive deadline.
He explained that the flexibility in the registration window is designed to allow time for the Board to complete investigations involving candidates suspected of attempting to register using fraudulent A-Level results.
“We would like to clarify that the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) Registration will not be closing on Monday, April 7, 2025, as being speculated,” the statement read.
“We strongly advise candidates with questionable credentials to refrain from participating in the registration process, as the Board has implemented measures to identify individuals with such credentials, both now and in the future.
“If you have previously used fraudulent results, we urge you to withdraw voluntarily, as the Board is expanding its investigations to include students who have already been admitted,” the statement concluded.
