Mrs Abimbola Adewumi, the new Registrar of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, resumed office on Tuesday.
Adewumi was appointed on January 23 as the second substantive registrar of the polytechnic.
She possesses a BA.Ed. in English from Lagos State University and a Masters in Human Resources Management from Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti.
In her first speech, she thanked gratefully for the opportunity to serve as registrar and described her appointment as a call to duty.
She assured the polytechnic community of her unwavering devotion to excellence and promised to carry out her duties accordingly.
“I will work assiduously not to disappoint the polytechnic and the state government. This position is a call to service and I pledge to discharge my duty responsibly.
“To all members of staff, I want to use this opportunity to solicit your unflinching support, loyalty and dedication to service with the right attitude and discipline,” she said.
Previously, the Rector of the institution, Dr. Sunday Ajeigbe, welcomed the new registrar and urged her to contribute to the growth of the institution.
He emphasized the importance of cooperation and strategic leadership in advancing the vision of the polytechnic, while assuring her of management’s determination in attaining the development goals of the institution.
