The Big Brother Naija ‘No Loose Guard’ couple, Zinwe, said the reality show bettered their relationship.
Zion Ogiefa and Chinwe Elibe told this in a virtual interview on Thursday in Lagos.
The Zinwe couple who were evicted during the live episode on Sunday claimed that they had a number of misunderstandings while on the show.
They explained that the troubles prompted them to end their relationship at some time.
Chinwe explained, “Preparing for the show has made our relationship better. We can now handle our problems better than we used to.
“If we had never appeared on the show, we would probably have handled our real-life issues quite differently, and yes, we would definitely have broken up much sooner.
“Going in as a couple in Biggie’s house has afforded us the opportunity to confront situations that face us as a couple, and having gone through that and walking away through it, it has made us stronger.”
Further, Zion added, “The Big Brother Naija show was definitely a learning experience for us; we learnt patience and resilience.”
“I had a good relationship with most of the people in the house, and because of that, it wasn’t a bad experience; it was nice and educational. I met people I had never seen before and learned about other cultures.”
The Zinwe couple, who went through tough days in the competition, reassured their fans that their love life remained intact.
Zion added that “Big Brother Naija has been and gone, yet our relationship is still on; we did not start the relationship because of BBNaija, so it will not end on the show.
“Our relationship was just five months old when we went on the show, so we knew it would be met with a lot of criticism and attention, and we were prepared for it.
“We also acknowledge that rough days within a relationship are okay; however, if there are no rough days, the partnership is unhealthy. The hard days were a learning experience.”
