Chinwe, a contestant from Big Brother Naija Season 9, has called on Biggie to eliminate the eviction power held by the custodians and housemates.
This season’s rules grant the pair winning the custodian challenge the authority to influence nominations and evictions. Additionally, housemates who are not in the bottom four sometimes have the opportunity to vote for the pair they want to see evicted, depending on the contents of the custodian box.
During a discussion with fellow housemates on Monday, Chinwe expressed concerns that the current eviction process was inhibiting housemates from freely expressing their true selves.
She appealed to Biggie to remove this system, arguing that it would enable housemates to speak more openly without the fear of being targeted for eviction by their peers.
Chinwe stated, “The level of power in this house is too high, which prevents people from speaking their minds. It’s understandable because having to enter the Diary Room and influence others’ fates is enough to make anyone cautious.”
She continued, “Biggie should abolish this method. Housemates should be able to freely express their thoughts. The current system pressures us to be cautious and avoid stepping on toes, as we don’t want to provoke others who might then target us.”
