Actress Laide Bakare has hit back at her colleague, Eniola Badmus, after Badmus allegedly made negative comments about a photo Bakare shared online.
In a post on Instagram, Bakare reminded Badmus of the crucial role she played in launching her acting career, claiming that she gave Badmus her first significant movie role at a time when many producers avoided working with her due to her appearance.
Disappointed by what she saw as betrayal, Bakare expressed her anger and frustration, even calling Badmus an “animal” for repaying her kindness with hostility.
“eniola_badmus I gave you, first major role in your life when. No one wants to Associate with you because of your ugly looks and obesity. Spent my own hard earned money on an ingrate like you, All you could pay me back with is to call me Animal? Haaa! ENIOLA! Almighty God will judge you insha Allah You have started what you can finish and I promise you, you must collect,” she wrote.
This comes after a heated altercation between the two actresses at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s film “Owambe Thieves” on April 13, 2025, at Filmhouse Circle Mall, Jakande.
The tension started when Badmus became visibly upset upon seeing Bakare on the dance floor, prompting her to distance herself. Later, Badmus lashed out when Bakare approached her.
