Mr Macaroni Slams Patience Jonathan Over Detained Workers

Nigerian content creator and human rights activist Adebowale Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has spoken out against reports alleging that former First Lady Patience Jonathan has kept 15 domestic workers in detention since 2019 over missing jewellery.

Reacting to the disturbing report, Mr Macaroni expressed deep concern and frustration.

He questioned whether the former first lady even remembers that the detained workers are still imprisoned and called on Nigerians to challenge the increasing abuse of power by influential individuals who silence the voiceless.

The popular comedian criticized the prolonged detention, stressing that the individuals in question should be presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a competent court.

Mr Macaroni wrote, “The injustice in this country is so painful!!!

“According to this report, these men and women have been locked up for over five years without a court conviction!!

“Does Madam Patience Jonathan even remember that they are still in Prison???

“We must stand against this pattern of abusing power that allows rich or influential people lock up others because they cannot speak or fight for themselves. By law, they are innocent until proven guilty!”
