The recent online activity of Odumodublvck, the popular rapper whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, has stirred up some debate. This arose after certain fans misinterpreted a clearly sarcastic message he directed towards the renowned singer Davido.
In his post, the rapper playfully suggested that the “30 Billion Gang boss” should consider releasing his highly anticipated fifth studio album, titled 5ive, not under his own established record label, but rather under the management of Kcee and E-Money’s 5ive Star Music imprint.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Odumodublvck humorously stated, “Davido, I trust your vision and all. But this album is not meant to be released under 30BG. “This album is meant to drop under Kcee and E-Money. I rest my case.”
The intention behind this post was a tongue-in-cheek way for Odumodublvck to express his high expectations for Davido’s forthcoming project, essentially labeling it a “five-star” caliber album. Unfortunately, the nuance of his sarcasm was lost on some followers, who reacted negatively, perceiving his comments as a slight against Davido.
Davido’s fifth studio album, 5ive, is still on track for its expected release in April, under the banners of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) and Sony Music.
To date, Davido has already given fans a taste of what’s to come by dropping three lead singles: Awuke featuring YG Marley, Funds featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, and Be There Still.
