Betty Irabor, the founder of Genevieve Magazine, has firmly refuted circulating reports of Nollywood veteran Olu Jacobs’ demise.
Speculation had spread across social media platforms alleging the acclaimed actor had passed away at the age of 82 on Sunday, amidst his ongoing battle with dementia.
Taking to Twitter, Irabor unequivocally stated, “Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing.”
The family of Jacobs has also stepped forward, releasing a video to substantiate that the esteemed actor is indeed alive.
Reflecting on the challenges faced, Jacobs’ wife, Joke Silva, shared last year about the profound impact of his illness on their lives.
She expressed, “It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 per cent of the time is no longer there.”
