Nigerian wahala musician Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has been released from the custody of the Lagos State Police Headquarters.
Portable was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly refusing to pay for his luxury car, the G-Wagon.
Portable bought a Mercedes GLE 350 from Ogunsanwo Temitope (Temmy Autos), a car dealer in Lagos, but failed to make the payment. It was learned that
Portable paid only N13 million after purchasing the car worth N27 million. He is said to have refused to pay the balance of N14 million.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benajmin Hundeyin, confirmed the release of the singer to Vanguard on Wednesday evening.
When asked if Portable solved the problem, the expert added: “I don’t know, but I would say it is allowed.”
