The controversial street-pop sensation Portable has officially turned down a N50 million offer to step into the boxing ring against popular streamer Carter Efe, dismissing the sum as insufficient for his star power.
The challenge was sparked by music executive Soso Soberekon, who laid out the N50 million prize during a recent livestream. While Carter Efe accepted the proposal instantly, even pushing for a finalized date and venue, Portable was far from impressed.
In a characteristic video broadcast, the “Zazu” crooner blatantly rejected the initial offer. He made it clear that if he is to lace up his gloves again, a luxury car valued at N300 million must be added to the pot before he considers the fight.
Portable expressed total confidence in his ability to dismantle the streamer, using his previous successes in the ring as leverage for his high-priced demands.
He reminded fans and organizers alike that he is no stranger to celebrity bouts, having already claimed victories over actor Charles Okocha and social media personality Speed Darlington in highly publicized matchups.
“Soso, N50 million is too little. Give me N50 million plus a car worth N300 million, totaling N350 million and I will beat Carter Efe mercilessly. I am the same guy who beat Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington,” Portable stated.
As the news circulates across social media, Soso Soberekon has yet to issue a public response to Portable’s massive counter-offer.
