Nigerian artist Skales has come out swinging against socialite Cubana Chief Priest following a polarizing claim that connected the recent bloodshed in Jos to a supposed plot to shame President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his birthday.
The friction started after Cubana Chief Priest took to Instagram to offer sympathy to those affected by the Jos attacks, while simultaneously implying the violence was a calculated political move aimed at ruining the President’s reputation.
The socialite also used his platform to urge national security forces to step up their game in addressing the country’s safety challenges.
Despite his call for security, the post immediately triggered a wave of anger online, as many Nigerians were taken aback by what they saw as a tone-deaf take on a tragedy.
Making his feelings clear, Skales lashed out at the socialite, labeling his perspective as “delusional.” The musician challenged the logic of prioritizing a politician’s image over the tragic deaths of citizens.
“This guy is delusional… I can’t believe he said that,” Skales wrote. “Lives were lost and all you care about is the presidency being embarrassed.
Where is your conscience?”
The singer went on to slam Cubana Chief Priest for a perceived total absence of compassion, particularly considering the severity of the attacks and the devastating impact on human life.
