Angela Laverne Brown, known professionally as Angie Stone, was an American singer, Veteran soul and R&B singer died at 63.
Deadline says Angie died after she was involved in a Sprinter van accident in Alabama, USA.
The accident happened as she was leaving a show in Montgomery that morning.
Three-time Grammy nominee Angie’s daughter Diamond Stone confirmed the tragic news on social media.
“My mummy is gone,” Diamond Stone wrote on Facebook.
Angie Stone’s representative, Deborah R. Champagne, also verified her death.
Angie rose to prominence as a member of The Sequence, Sugar Hill Records’ first all-girl group.
