Submissions from Nigerian artists for the 2026 Grammy Awards have officially been revealed.
Grammy monitoring platform, The Grammy Guru, recently published a list of songs and albums submitted by several Nigerian musicians for consideration ahead of the prestigious awards.
Wizkid leads the pack with the highest number of entries. His album ‘Morayo’ was submitted for both Album of the Year and Best Global Album categories.
The Starboy Entertainment boss also entered his track ‘Piece of My Heart’ for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best African Music Performance.
In addition, he submitted the self-directed video for ‘Kese (Dance)’ in the Best Music Video category, while his collaboration with Olamide and Darkoo, ‘Billionaires Club,’ was submitted for Best African Music Performance.
Burna Boy also put forward his project ‘No Sign of Weakness’ for Album of the Year and Best Global Album. His song ‘Love’ was submitted for Best African Music Performance, and his collaboration with French artist Joé Dwèt Filé, ‘Kampé III,’ for Best Global Music Performance.
Ayra Starr joined the list with submissions including ‘Hot Body’ for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Her collaborative single with Wizkid, ‘Gimme Dat,’ was submitted for both Best African Music Performance and Best Music Video.
According to the Recording Academy, voting members will decide which entries make the final nomination list, expected to be announced in November 2025.
Notably, Nigerian singer Davido has recently become a voting member of the Recording Academy.
