Plateau Police Arrest 27 Suspects in State-Wide Intelligence Raids

The Plateau State Police Command has carried out a series of intelligence-led raids across the state, resulting in the arrest of 27 suspects.

The operation was designed with a clear goal in mind: to restore a sense of normalcy to the community and ensure that criminal elements don’t find any room to exploit the current local situation.

Commissioner of Police, CP Bassey Ewah, has made his stance clear, issuing a firm warning that the authorities will not stand by while anyone attempts to cause disruption or incite violence.

According to State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Alfred Alabo, the Command has already moved its specialized teams and resources into key locations.

The objective is to maintain law and order so that every resident can feel safe and secure in their own neighborhood.

During the raids, officers uncovered several items, including a significant amount of dried leaves believed to be Indian Hemp.

While the 27 individuals are currently being profiled, the police have confirmed that investigations are very much ongoing as they work to bring any confirmed offenders to justice.

In the meantime, the Police Chief is calling on the people of Plateau State to be his “eyes and ears” on the ground. He emphasized that timely and accurate information from the community is the most powerful tool the force has.

“See something, say something,” he urged, reminding everyone that public safety is a shared responsibility.
