Soldiers from Sector 2, operating under Operation Whirl Stroke, have detained two individuals believed to be militia members during a targeted raid in the Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The capture was highlighted in a social media update on X this Tuesday by security expert Zagazola Makama.
The report indicates that the arrests took place around 1:15 pm on April 5, 2026, within the Atara community after officials received reliable tips.
As the intervention unfolded, one of the men allegedly tried to strike a soldier using a knife. To neutralize the threat, the personnel fired, resulting in the suspect being shot in the leg.
The wounded man was subsequently moved to a local health clinic in Bassa to receive medical care.
Makama further noted that the pair of suspects has been transferred to the custody of the Nigeria Police for deeper questioning and eventual legal action.
