The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has alerted commuters to expect slow traffic movement from Otedola Bridge in Lagos State inward OPIC in Ogun State due to an accident on the Long Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Providing live updates via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, LASTMA reported that the situation has worsened as some motorists have resorted to driving against traffic, further compounding the gridlock.
Despite the disruption, the agency assured road users that its officers are currently on the ground working to manage the congestion and restore smooth traffic flow.
“New Garage to Lagos is smooth traffic flow for those entering Lagos,” LASTMA added in its update.
Commuters are advised to exercise patience and consider alternative routes where possible while authorities work to clear the affected section of the expressway.
