Bandits Kidnapped Four in Fresh Attack on Sokoto Community

At least four people have been kidnapped by bandits in a recent attack on Dunkawa community in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The assault, which took place late on Friday night, was first reported by security analyst Bakatsine on X (formerly Twitter) early Saturday morning.

The post detailed how armed bandits raided Dunkawa under the cover of night, abducting four residents and leaving the community in a state of fear and uncertainty.

“Last night, bandits attacked the Dunkawa community in Sabon Birni LGA of Sokoto State, abducting four people during the invasion,” Bakatsine shared.

Dunkawa, located in the Sokoto East Senatorial District, has become increasingly vulnerable to violent attacks and large-scale kidnappings in recent years, with many neighboring communities enduring similar assaults.

Local authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the attack.
