Bandits Kill 3, Abduct 1 in Fresh Katsina Attacks

Bandits carried out new assaults in Katsina State on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of at least three individuals and the abduction of one person in separate attacks across the Sabuwa and Faskari local government areas.

Local sources and eyewitness accounts indicated that the initial attack took place at the Sabuwa General Hospital, where the attackers shot and killed two staff members—a laboratory technician and a security guard—before escaping.

“According to Bakatsine on his X handle,” a second incident unfolded on the outskirts of Faskari, where armed individuals targeted farmers, fatally shooting one and kidnapping another.

These incidents are part of an ongoing wave of violence plaguing the state, particularly in remote communities near forested zones that have become havens for criminal elements.

While government authorities have yet to respond officially, residents report that the repeated attacks are fueling fear and severely disrupting everyday activities in the affected regions.
