Witnesses reported hearing multiple loud blasts in the Dubai area of the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, marking the second consecutive day of such incidents, according to Reuters.
Iran reportedly launched attacks on nearby Gulf states in retaliation for strikes by the United States and Israel, hitting several locations.
Explosions were also heard early Sunday near Erbil International Airport, where coalition troops led by the US are stationed in Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region, with thick black smoke seen rising from the area.
On Saturday, the US-led coalition intercepted and destroyed several missiles and explosive-laden drones over Erbil.
Meanwhile, at least 133 civilians have been killed and about 200 others injured amid the US–Israel conflict with Iran, according to Human Rights Activists News Agency.
The group said at least 59 incidents occurred across 18 provinces in Iran, describing the situation as a large, multi-phase operation.
Tehran recorded the highest number of incidents, with the statement noting that schools and other child-related facilities were affected.
It also reported damage in urban areas and other locations where people live and work, including residential neighborhoods and workplaces.
