According to reports, suspected burglars made a forceful entry into a mobile device charging station within the territory of the Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State and stole over forty mobile telecommunication devices.
It happened in the premises of Muhammad Mai Caji, who is stationed along the road to Unguwar Duta’era. The break-in was during the time when the owner had left to go and pray the Isha in a local mosque.
Different sources reveal that the stolen devices belonged to patrons who had left their mobile phones at the premise to be charged. As a result, the owner as well as the aggrieved consumers have started to measure the losses suffered. In addition, the offenders are also reported to have embezzled money obtained using the shop point of sale (POS) system.
The owner confirmed that the law-enforcement agencies were informed about the event and that actions are being taken to contact the owners of the stolen devices.
At the same time residents of the locality have urged security agencies to put more vigilant patrols on the streets at night in a bid to reduce the growing rate of break and entry in the neighborhood.
