EndBadGovernance: Nigerians Angry Because Tinubu Deceived Them – Political Scientist

Jibrin Ibrahim, a political science professor and member of the Centre for Democracy and Development’s (CDD) governing board, claims that Nigerians are angry because the President Bola Tinubu administration has deceived them.

Ibrahim made the statement during an interview with Channels TV’s Politics Today.

He criticized the collapse of governance in Nigeria, claiming that the government had failed to keep its pledges to alleviate Nigerians’ suffering.

“When they canceled the gasoline subsidy, they declared that in a few weeks, we’d have CNG buses and the cost of transportation would fall dramatically. They stated that 13 months ago. Nigerians have not seen the busses. It is known as Waiting for Godot in literature.

“When you are repeatedly told that you will see them and you wait for weeks, months, or even a year and nothing comes. “You understand that what you are told is a narrative that is not based on reality,” he remarked.

The political expert stated that patients in hospitals die on a regular basis due to a lack of funds to purchase medicine, and that Nigerians are starving as a result of the country’s economic crisis.

According to him, the government wants Nigerians to starve in silence.
