Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf swore in Arc Ibrahim Yakubu Wudil as the state’s new Transport and Housing Commissioner.
State Attorney General Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi performed the oath of office to Arc Ibrahim Yakubu Wudil at the Kano State Government House.
Governor Yusuf requested the new commissioner to apply his wide experience for state development, particularly in the running of Kwankwassiya, Bandirawo, and Amana cities, all of which were created during the time of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
He was sure Arc Yakubu was up to the task, given his previous work as Managing Director of KNUPDA and as an architect with years of experience.
“I’ve worked closely with him for decades, and I know his capacity. I’m sure he will not let us down,” the governor stated.
Governor Yusuf also ordered the commissioner to ensure the improvement of Kano’s housing deficit and proper urban planning and management of transport.
The Commissioner, secretaries to the government, commissioners, and other principal officers witnessed the swearing-in.
