The Katsina State Police Command made the arrest of 144 offenders and the rescue of 105 kidnapped victims from bandits.
Speaking at the command headquarters, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), revealed that the arrests were linked to 128 reported serious crimes, including armed robbery, culpable homicide, kidnapping, and rape.
The suspects include 16 culpable homicide suspects, 7 armed robbery suspects, 1 suspected bandit informant, 49 suspected rapists, and 47 other suspects of different crimes, DSP Sadiq stated.
Besides, the police arrested four suspected armed bandits, rescued 105 kidnapped victims, and recovered 13 suspected rustled animals.
Four locally fabricated guns, 13 pump-action cartridges, and five motorcycles were among the recovered items.
DSP Sadiq also thanked security officers for their hard work and commitment, saying their commitment has been instrumental in making Katsina State safer.
