Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence has confirmed that several United States military aircraft crashed within the country on Monday.
The development was reported by the Kuwait News Agency in a post on X, citing an official statement from the Defence Ministry.
According to the statement, all crew members on board survived the incident, while Kuwaiti authorities are providing rescue and emergency response support.
“Ministry of Defense announces that several #US military aircraft crashed earlier in the day, confirming that all crew members survived the incident,” the post stated.
Officials did not immediately reveal the number of aircraft involved or the cause of the crashes.
The incident occurred a day after Iran reportedly launched a strike on a US military base in Kuwait in retaliation for joint airstrikes by Israel and the United States on Iranian targets.
Other countries said to have been impacted by Iranian missile attacks on US bases and facilities in the region include Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
