The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Friday staged a captivating aerial display over the Lagos skies as part of activities commemorating its 61st anniversary.
The display, which drew dignitaries from around the world, was observed from the rooftop of Eko Hotel by the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, alongside foreign air chiefs and high-level delegates attending the African Air Forces Forum (AAFF).
A fleet of NAF aircraft showcased tactical flight manoeuvres and coordinated formations, highlighting the force’s operational capabilities, discipline, and commitment to defending Nigeria’s territorial airspace.
This high-profile event also formed a key part of the AAFF, which brings together air force leaders from across Africa to strengthen regional cooperation, exchange strategic insights, and tackle shared security challenges.
Organised to highlight NAF’s growing role in regional peacekeeping and airspace security, the forum further reinforced Nigeria’s leadership in fostering defence collaboration on the continent.
