The National Association of Seadogs, Pyrates Confraternity (NAS-PC), Ox-Bow Marino Deck, led by Deck Capoon Mr. Timothy Egbonoje, recently visited Diete-Koki Memorial Hospital in Opolo, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, where it donated waste bins to support efficient waste collection and disposal.
The donation aims to promote a cleaner and safer environment within the hospital premises.
Egbonoje, who led the delegation, officially handed over the waste bins—of various colours and sizes—to Mr. Daniel Amgbare, Head of the Technical and Works Department of the hospital.
Amgbare, speaking on behalf of the hospital management and the Managing Director, expressed gratitude to NAS-PC for the thoughtful gesture. He noted that waste management is often overlooked by many organizations when considering areas of support.
He commended the association for identifying this need and encouraged them to continue their commendable work in the community.
Egbonoje explained that the donation was part of NAS-PC’s Deckhands project, which focuses on community-based interventions. He raised concerns about inadequate waste management in hospitals and offices across the state.
He also pledged that the association would continue to support health institutions and other sectors in line with its objectives.
The NAS-PC has consistently demonstrated its dedication to social responsibility and community development through various impactful initiatives.
