Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised U.S. President Donald Trump, describing him as a decisive leader and saying the world is fortunate to have him in office.
In comments on Monday addressing recent tensions involving Iran, Netanyahu said there has “never been a president like Donald J. Trump,” highlighting what he described as Trump’s resoluteness, clarity, and willingness to take decisive action.
According to Netanyahu, Trump “cuts through all the fluff” and focuses on the actions he believes are necessary.
He added that Israel and other nations in what he called the “free world” are fortunate to benefit from Trump’s leadership, crediting him with restoring America’s global standing.
“And I think for Israel and I think for the countries of the free world, let me tell you, I think for the world.
“We’re very lucky to have him as the leader of the free world, and in fact the leader of world. He’s brought America back to being the leader the world,” Netanyahu said.
Speaking on the justification for the recent strike on Iran, Netanyahu accused the Iranian government of longstanding hostility toward the United States.
He said Iran had spent decades promoting anti-American rhetoric and alleged involvement in attacks on U.S. embassies and attempts to target American leaders.
Netanyahu further described Iran as a regime that spreads terror globally and is committed to undermining the United States.
