The Niger State Police Command has officially announced that its newly appointed Commissioner of Police, Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has resumed duty, bringing over three decades of experience to the role.
According to a statement released by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, “CP Elleman has taken over from AIG Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, who was recently promoted and redeployed.”
Elleman now serves as the 38th Commissioner of Police in Niger State, and his appointment marks a significant transition in the state’s security leadership.
The police command emphasized that the new CP is fully committed to strengthening security, maintaining law and order, and reducing crime in alignment with the 2025 Action Plan. Citizens were encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement to help achieve these objectives.
A seasoned officer with 31 years of service, Elleman hails from Kaugama, Jigawa State. He holds law degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and the Nigerian Law School, and has served in numerous legal, investigative, and leadership roles throughout his career.
His credentials are further bolstered by specialized training in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, and South Africa.
With his wealth of experience and legal background, CP Elleman is expected to bring strategic insight and decisive leadership to tackle the security challenges in Niger State.
