The newly appointed Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa State, Bala Bawa Bodinga, has issued a strong warning that the state will no longer be a refuge for criminal elements.
Bodinga made this known while presenting several suspects arrested for various offenses at the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Dutse.
He emphasized that the recent arrests highlight his dedication to maintaining peace and security across the state, stating that criminal activities will be met with firm action.
“Within just seven days of assuming duty as the new NSCDC Commandant in Jigawa, the command has apprehended a suspected cattle rustler in Kaugama and seven suspected electricity cable vandals in Gumel Local Government Area,” he revealed.
He issued a clear ultimatum to those involved in criminal activities, urging them to either change their ways or leave the state.
According to him, “We are fully determined to flush out criminals from their hideouts and ensure they face the full wrath of the law.”
Bodinga also called on the public to assist the corps by providing reliable information that can support the arrest and prosecution of lawbreakers.
