PDP Will Take Over Kaduna in 2027 – Says Masha

Edward Percy Masha is the Peoples Democratic Party PDP chieftain and contender for the chairperson of the party in Kaduna State during the September 21, 2024 election. Masha has promised to dethrone APC in the state’s governorship race in 2027.

In an interview shortly after the inauguration of his campaign team in Kaduna, he lamented that since 2015, the ruling party had brought upon the people a level of suffering second to none, saying, “Kaduna State has become a battlefield of all kinds of insecurity, leaving the people with no breathing space to go about their normal lives and earn a living.”

Regarding the upcoming council elections on October 19, 2024, he said, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will definitely reclaim its mandate because the state has fully embraced the party, and, God willing, the electorate will show their frustration with the current situation by coming out in their numbers to vote for the PDP candidates.”

With the people in support, Masha promised that his team would leave no stone unturned if elected to ensure that the party won at all local government areas within the state.

According to him, “Our people are completely fed up with the challenges the APC government has brought to them. Insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities have all become the order of the day in the state. It is indeed a great concern that the party is determined to address comprehensively to give the people a fresh start and showcase their potential in their struggle to make ends meet.”

He assured that they will engage in the forthcoming council’s election, saying that they would go from market to market, shop to shop, and house to house to sell their candidates and the benefits that the people of the state are to gain when the PDP takes control.

He also pledged that, when elected as the state chairman of the party, he would ensure that all those who had left the party for whatsoever reason return to the fold, promising to run an all-inclusive party and provide everyone an opportunity to have a say in the running of the party to fast-track its progress.
