Plane Crash Claims Three Lives in Florida

Three individuals tragically lost their lives on Friday when a small plane crashed in Boca Raton, Florida.

Assistant Fire Chief Michael LaSalle of Boca Fire Rescue confirmed the crash, noting that the “aircraft had apparently some mechanical issues and went down here on Military Trail.”

According to ABC News, there was also a vehicle involved in the incident, with one occupant sustaining injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the aircraft, a Cessna 310R, had departed from Boca Raton Airport en route to Tallahassee International Airport before the crash occurred.

Reports indicate that the aircraft was airborne for just under 20 minutes prior to crashing.

Footage from the scene shows debris from the plane scattered along railroad tracks adjacent to a roadway, with emergency crews having already extinguished the resulting fire.

Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer expressed condolences, stating, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and all affected.”

This incident follows another aviation tragedy less than a day earlier, when a helicopter crash in New York’s Hudson River on Thursday resulted in six fatalities.
