Tesla CEO Elon Musk has claimed that he and other personnel at the electric car company are facing death threats, following a wave of violent attacks on Tesla properties across the United States.
Musk made the revelations during a recent interview with FOX News host Bret Baier, where he addressed growing safety concerns, personal attacks, and the alarming trend of firebombed Tesla dealerships.
“Well, I think a great wrong is being done to the people of Tesla and to our customers. I mean, Tesla is a peaceful company that has made great cars, great products. That’s all it’s done,” Musk said.
“It hasn’t harmed anyone. And yet, people are committing violence. They are firebombing Tesla dealerships.
They are shooting guns into stores. They are threatening people. They are issuing death threats against me and another Tesla personnel.
What are they doing this for? Why? And what’s happening,” he further stated.
The backlash against Tesla appears to be escalating, with law enforcement stepping in to address the threats and acts of sabotage.
U.S. President Donald Trump recently commented on the issue, stating that anyone caught sabotaging Tesla vehicles or property could face up to 20 years in prison.
This follows the announcement by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, who disclosed that three individuals have been charged in connection with the arson attack on Tesla facilities in Las Vegas.
Bondi described the incidents as “nothing short of domestic terrorism.”
As investigations continue, Musk’s comments shed light on the intensifying hostility facing Tesla and the urgent need for stronger security measures to protect its staff, customers, and assets.
