Tinubu Breaks Silence on Rivers Political Crisis

President Bola Tinubu addressed the issue on Tuesday regarding Rivers State’s long-standing political crisis, breaking his silence on the issue.

Tinubu disclosed that he had foreseen the issue while receiving Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) leaders at the State House Council Chamber in Abuja.

He asked PANDEF to return home and try at peace in accordance with the rule of law, noting that the Supreme Court had already ruled on the issue.

The president asserted that he has undertaken various personal and public initiatives to promote peace in the state.

Emphasising the importance of adhering to the rule of law, Tinubu stated: “I should not be here as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria if there is no rule of law.

“I have total confidence in our judiciary. Human beings can make errors, but once the Supreme Court has spoken, that is it.”
