President Bola Tinubu has strongly condemned the recent killing of hunters in Uromi, Esan North Local Government Area, Edo State, instructing security forces to immediately pursue and apprehend the offenders.
In a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu expressed deep shock over the tragic incident.
He directed law enforcement agencies, including the police, to swiftly conduct comprehensive investigations to bring those responsible to justice.
The President extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, reassuring them that the government would not permit criminals to harm innocent Nigerians without facing severe consequences.
He emphasized firmly that jungle justice is unacceptable in Nigeria, reiterating the fundamental right of all Nigerians to freedom of movement nationwide.
Tinubu praised Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo and local community leaders in Uromi for swiftly intervening and mitigating tensions following the tragic event.
