Tinubu Swears In Tunji Disu as Substantive IGP

Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Olatunji Disu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police.

The swearing-in ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Council Chambers of the State House.

The new police chief took the oath of office after his citation was read by the State House Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr Abiodun Oladunjoye.

Among those present at the event were Kashim Shettima, members of the federal cabinet, and several other dignitaries.

After administering the oath to Disu, President Tinubu also swore in newly appointed commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the Federal Civil Service Commission.

The ceremony was held shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

President Tinubu decorated Disu with the rank of Inspector-General of Police the next day.
