A U.S. Congressional delegation has officially handed its findings to President Donald Trump following a high-stakes mission to Nigeria to investigate reports of genocide against the Christian community.
The update came directly from Congressman Riley M. Moore, who shared the milestone via a Facebook post on Wednesday evening.
He wrote, “Just presented our report on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria to the White House. More to come”.
This presentation follows an intense diplomatic sit-down on December 7, when the delegation met with Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, in Abuja.
The goal of that meeting was to forge a definitive path toward ending the targeted violence carried out by Islamic extremists.
While the Nigerian government has pushed back against these claims, the visiting lawmakers remained firm in their assessment that Christians are being systematically singled out and killed.
