Donald Trump has called on Iran’s citizens to take advantage of major US and Israeli attacks to overthrow their government.
In a video message, Trump said, “After we are done, you take over your government, it’s yours. I think this is your chance to do it.”
He also warned Iranian military forces that they would be protected if they surrendered their weapons, or face death if they did not comply.
Earlier in January, Trump threatened to bomb Iran over the government’s crackdown on protesters, which a human rights group reported has resulted in 6,480 deaths.
