Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the appointment of Yakubu Sani Haidara as Head of Civil Service (HoS).
This was announced by Secretary to the State Government Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, saying the appointment takes immediate effect.
The new Head of Service takes over from Barrister Ahmad Liman, who retired on February 28, 2025.
Suleiman Ahmad Tudu, SSA, Senior Special Assistant, Media Affairs, stated this to the Office of Secretary to the State Government, SSG.
As mentioned, Haidara, a 1989 Political Science graduate of highly-ranked Usmanu Danfodiyo University in Sokoto, was appointed Permanent Secretary in 2012 and has served in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), including the Ministries of Commerce and Industry, Transport, Department of Administration and Establishment (OHoS), Cabinet Affairs, and Office of the Secretary to the State Government, among others.
Commending the outgoing HoS for his selfless service and dedication to the State, Governor Lawal charged the new HoS to carry out his duties with the highest integrity and in strict compliance with Public Service standards.
