Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points after a 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday evening.
The Gunners entered the match aware that Manchester City had secured a 1-0 victory at Leeds United on Saturday, which had reduced Arsenal’s lead to two points.
William Saliba put Arsenal ahead with a header that deflected off Mamadou Sarr.
Chelsea, however, equalized before halftime due to an own goal by Piero Hincapie.
Jurrien Timber then scored the decisive header for Arsenal, taking the club to 64 points with nine games remaining.
