Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is fit and available for selection ahead of the Premier League clash against Fulham on Tuesday.
Saka has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s match against Crystal Palace in December. However, the England international has resumed full training in recent weeks and is now deemed match-ready.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday morning, Arteta gave an encouraging update on the winger’s condition.
“Bukayo is ready to go,” Arteta said.
“The careful thing is already done, so now it’s about putting him on the grass in the right moments, but he is pushing because he really wants it.
“We have respected the time-frame, we have done everything, we had to hold him back, so now he is ready to go.”
When asked whether Saka could be in the starting XI against Fulham, Arteta replied: “Yeah, yeah.
“He is another massive weapon. We know the impact he has had on the team and how important his role and his contribution is to our success, so great to have him back.”
