Cesc Fabregas, former Chelsea player, has remarked that Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee plays like Karim Benzema.
On the Planet Premier League podcast, Fabregas said that Zirkzee enjoys dropping deep and participating in build-up play.
Zirkzee scored from the bench to give United a 1-0 victory over Fulham to start the season.
Before the Red Devils’ trip to Brighton, Fabregas said: “Manchester United were a little unconvincing against Fulham. There were moments.
“I truly like Josh Zirkee. He made a difference. As a number nine, he is similar to Karim Benzema—a false nine who comes deep to play and enters the box later. He scents the goal and is an excellent signing.”
