Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have both secured their spots in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
Despite a 3-2 loss at Aston Villa on Tuesday, the newly crowned Ligue 1 champions advanced thanks to their 3-1 victory in the first leg at the Parc des Princes last week.
At Villa Park, PSG took an early two-goal lead with goals from Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes.
However, Aston Villa mounted a strong comeback, with Youri Tielemans’ shot deflecting into the net, followed by a brilliant strike from captain John McGinn.
Ezri Konsa’s calm finish capped off the comeback, but PSG held on to progress with a 5-4 aggregate score.
Meanwhile, Barcelona were defeated 3-1 by Borussia Dortmund but still managed to advance with a 5-3 aggregate.
PSG will meet the winner of the Real Madrid vs Arsenal tie, while Barcelona will face the winner of Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich.
