Thiago Silva set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, the Blues are reportedly targeting 31-year-old Manchester United defender Raphael Varane to strengthen their defence.
In an emotional video released a few weeks ago, Silva is leaving Chelsea after his contract expires.
The 39-year-old played an important role in Chelsea’s defense, contributing to their Champions League victory and making 154 appearances.
However, according to Fichajes, Chelsea have identified Varane as their main target this summer.
The Frenchman is seen as an excellent substitute who brings experience and stability to the Chelsea defence.
However, the Premier League’s west London club will face stiff competition for Varane; Juventus and Al Nasr are also interested in the former Real Madrid defender.
