Arsenal F.C. manager Mikel Arteta has provided fresh injury updates on his squad ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion F.C..
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday afternoon, Arteta shared encouraging updates regarding Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and David Raya.
However, the Spaniard struck a more cautious tone when addressing the fitness of club captain Martin Ødegaard, who was absent during the Gunners’ 2-1 victory over Chelsea F.C. last weekend.
Providing an update on Havertz, Arteta said: “He’s done part of the session, so we’ll have to wait and see.”
When questioned about Odegaard and Raya, he responded: “Another one we’ll assess. We have to see how comfortable he feels.
“David is good to go.”
Arteta also confirmed that Dowman is available for selection, while Ben White will miss out and is not in contention for the trip.
Speaking further on Rice’s condition, he added: “I hope so. He was much better today.
“We haven’t really trained because we’ve only had two days to prepare, so hopefully he’ll be better tomorrow.”
