EPL: Arteta Reacts as Arsenal Go Seven Points Clea

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has played down excitement after his team moved seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners secured a narrow 1–0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion, while defending champions Manchester City were forced to settle for a 2–2 draw with Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium.

Bukayo Saka, who captained Arsenal at the Amex Stadium, scored the decisive goal early in the first half to secure all three points for the visitors.

“This was a really difficult one after everything we’ve been through in the last few weeks,” Arteta told TNT Sports.

“Every game in the Premier League offers you different things. Big credit to the boys because the effort they put in is astronomical.

On the seven-point gap between Arsenal and City, Arteta said: “We did what we had to do and that is what we will continue to do.”
